Our weekly online toolbox meetings involve the entire staff. In this way we achieve full collaboration from all our team, regardless of if are they working in Whangarei or Invercargill.

Our communication policy requires all project managers to send a formal project update to all project stakeholders every week. It’s a standard that helps us stay on the front foot – and keep our clients with us every step of the way. Each day too our site foreman undertakes a 5x5 audit, stepping back 5 metres and taking 5 minutes to assess any new hazards as they plan the day’s work.

When it comes to coordinating multiple projects around the country we take pride in the meticulously thorough and comprehensive approach to every detail at every site.

Our QualCheck quality control process ensures exacting standards in everything we do. Each and every day team leaders are recording the preparation, the cleaning and the finished work.

Our teams are coordinating with both on-site offices and regional regularly. On challenging or large jobs there are often a wide variety of parties involved, and we are diligent in keeping everyone in step and moving forward together.

We never rest on our laurels. Our entire onsite team have trained in excellence in customer service. No aspect of this service is left to chance. It’s why we’re so unwavering in our process-driven approaches. And it’s why we do not use sub-contractors.

Reporting

Our proprietary IT systems and reporting processes ensure all maintenance schedules are carried out with diligent attention to detail.

With this approach we delivered unrivalled control and fast and effective client service that ensures nothing falls through the gaps. Powerful reporting and record-keeping (along with other functions like GPS vehicle management) enable a high level of efficiency.

National Decorators project managers collaborate with our office team in real time using mobile technology to ensure nothing gets missed.

On a stage-by-stage basis our team leaders are required to fill in a report and upload necessary pictures to prove all works have been completed…

Clear accurate reporting can be setup and customised to the needs of the management team, allowing all stakeholders to be “kept in the loop” at all times.

Our Project Managers also have a KPI for communicating with clients on a regular schedule. We don’t sit back and hope you’re ok with everything – we speak up, check in and make sure you’re happy with your building’s care.

Training

Superior training protocols provides confidence to our clients that work will be undertaken to the highest standard.

Choosing team members that clearly reflect and fit the company’s values is important to upholding the long established company culture. At National Decorators we undertake a strict vetting process for all new employees to ensure only the best are recruited. This vetting covers various everything from presentation and attitude to areas like police checks and drug testing.

Once we hire staff we ensure they have every tool they need to do the job right. That’s both the physical tools and the mental ones – we all need to be 100% confident our focus is unerring every minute we’re on site.

All National Decorators team members also carry a staff handbook with them at all times. This document outlines the vision and values of the company along with clearly stating our policy on staff conduct and etiquette, health and safety and all other relevant standards.

We know that any of our competitors can, given the time and expertise, offer our services. What they can’t match is our team culture – our ‘ambition for achievement’.

So too are our vans fitted with key information for every team member – and refresher video training is mandatory for a range of different tools. Everyone knows exactly how everything works before they switch it on.
